I know! I know! Most of the videos that I post here are all in English. I bet some of you were thinking why aren't there any Tagalog ones that we can watch at home or in the classroom? Well don't you worry folks. I have one for you. Lampara Channel caters to Children's Stories narrated in Tagalog. This is a You Tube site by Lampara Books which is a Philippine publishing house. If you want to know more about them please click here -->> http://www.lamparabooks.com.ph/main.html So if you have some time feel free to check their channel! Have fun watching! Here is another site for learning colors and this time it is from BabyFirst TV!!! It is a 28 minute video where it features animated crayons coloring a certain page in a coloring book! (Notice the over use of the word color! LMAO!) Hopefully the kids will enjoy this especially the toddlers and preschoolers! Have fun watching! One of the first and basic things that children will learn aside from shapes is colors! There are a lot of videos out there in You Tube that caters to this kind of lesson but I shall show you a few good ones that will really excite your preschool children and pupils! First up are videos from Busy Beavers. Their channel is really popular with 1 million subscribers and 100 million plus views on their videos! This kind of numbers can definitely tell that they have great educational content. I actually encountered this song way back in 2002 when I was still teaching in an international progressive preschool. My class consist of 4-5 year old kids but I also taught toddlers (2-3 years old). This particular song is part ouf our Circle Time. The song was still sung the same way back then but some of the pictures used in a letter are now different. For example the letter "D" before was "dolly" now the word "dinosaur" is use. Nevertheless the tune, melody, and rhythm is still the same. The song will forever capture a child's attention because of its simplicity and repetition. I highly recommend this video to everyone especially those with preschool children. Even 2 years old will be hooked on this song!I encountere Science is one of the most exciting subjects in school but sometimes it can be very diffucult for little kids to comprehend as some of its concepts can be very intimidating. To make things easier a teacher does experiments, show concrete objects, make pupils observe and the occasional field trips in a science related place. To augment the skills and knowledge of kids in the wonderful world of Science I giveyou the Make Me Genius Channel. This channel talks everything from plants, animals, states of matter and more using cute animation and simple explanation in order for kids to understand. So I do hope you find the time to explore this channel!!! Enjoy watching! Well here's another set of Sight Words by CompLabTeacher in You Tube. In his playlist, the sight words are complete. The words starts from Kindergarten until Fifth Grade. A series of words are flash on the screen. You can hear his voice saying the words once but you can repeat the video again in order for the child to hear how the words are correctly pronounce. In addition not only you can view the Dolch Sight Words in his channel but Fry's word list can also be seen there as well as other interesting videos related to letters and math. So enjoy wathing Complabteacher's video channel. Your children and pupils will learn a lot! With so many Dolch Sight Word videos in You Tube, one is bound to be overwhelmed. I already shared the first DSW video that I find most engaging to pupils and lo and behold! Here is another one that I will share this time from the Quiz Tree Channel. The DSW vids in this channel are good because they are classified into the following catergories: Pre-Primer, Primer, First Grade and Second Grade. Anyway, each category is divided into 4 or 5 parts. Each part consists of 10 words arranged alphabetically. There is a background music while the words flashes on the screen. When you play the video you will hear a voice saying the words and obviously the pupils shall repeat it. The only downside thing is that the speaker will only say the words once but that is a minor thing because teachers and parents can rewind the video as they wish. So if you have time to go to YT and you're looking for a good BSW video I highly recommend this one. Enjoy watching! I was looking for a You Tube video about the Basic Sight Words that I can teach to my pupils. After searching and viewing all the results, I decided that this was the best one. Have Fun Teaching has a list of videos that teaches the Basic Sight Words . The kids will surely love it because it was done in a musical manner. The tempo and beat are fast and you can even dance to it. The words are repetative and it flashes on the screen endlessly. Even adults can enjoy watching it.The only downside is that not all of the Basic Sight Words are included. There are only a few. Still, this can create an idea on how teachers and even parents can help their children learn the BSW in a fun way. Welcome to another page of SkoolRockz!!! Here, I am going to share to my viewers all of my favorite You Tube Channels that caters to education from preschool's nursery rhymes/songs, kids short stories and more!!!
So stay tune for the first channel I am going to share to you soon!!! |
